"Juju" is one of my favourite songs. It came about while listening to Daft Punk's "Lose yourself to dance". The funk moved me and I found myself singing a melody over it.

A lot my songs start this way. With a moving song idea, then a melody. The lyrics I hammer into place later. Remy was key in building out the song idea. I've known Remy since secondary school and his ability on the keys is so slick.

We were  gisting for an hour in my parents study while Remy played slap bass on his laptop keys with one headphone in. The beat for juju was completed  shortly, then the songwriting I finished in my room the following afternoon.

Big shout-out goes to Higomusic who I recorded it with. He made the backing vocals and influenced vocal arrangements. Higo really helped me be proud of the recording process which I can be insecure about.
